We are delighted to have been instructed by the ASAO (the Association of Show and Agricultural Organisations) to provide them with a revitalised, dynamic online presence.
The ASAO is the voice of the UK agricultural show industry, and their website showcases 400 days of entertainment, from Royal Shows, County Shows, Agricultural, Horticultural and Equine to great Countryside and County Sports Shows. An anticipated six million visitors are expected to attend shows across the UK each year and the ASAO provides a platform for members to communicate with other member shows, and for the public to learn more about the different shows throughout the year.
The website, a dedicated portal to promoting the vast array of shows provides links to each website and access to information needed for visitors, exhibitors and competitors to enjoy a great day out. The ASAO Council felt that the website, which has not been updated for quite some time, had fallen behind the required standard, with an outdated design and layout.
Designed fully responsive for all devices, the ASAO’s investment in new web technologies will ensure that their services, including a members login area and a public facing calendar, are effectively presented, allowing for seamless user experience across all platforms. A full social media integration service has also been included in the new development, with links to the ASAO’s YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn pages for a continuous all-round experience.
A key requirement for the ASAO was the integration of a Content Management System. The website will feature a system that allows the Council to upload photographs, messages and news stories themselves, with the ability to post messages on a forum style basis, giving member organisations the opportunity to swap information and best practice stories.
We’re looking forward to working with the ASAO to provide them with an engaging online presence and a responsive website that is easily navigable for all users and visually impactful.
