Bella Design & Marketing has competed work on a new website for Astley Sand & Aggregates.

Astley Sand & Aggregates proudly operates Morley’s Quarry in Manchester as part of the Green Earth Developments Group.

The Green Earth Developments Group’s recycling business model is built around designing out waste and keeping materials in use for as long as possible. Recycling is central to this approach, helping shift from a linear “take-make-dispose” system to a closed-loop model where resources are continually recovered and reused.

GEDG Recycling exemplifies this purpose-led approach, focusing on the acceptance, storage, treatment, and management of excavated waste from street and utility works.

Green Earth Developments Group, owners of Astley Sand & Aggregates, are completing the restoration of Phase 1 with approximately 750,000 tonnes of soils. Planning is already underway for Phase 2, which will include the extraction of 2 million tonnes of sand and 1 million tonnes of clay, followed by restoration through the importation of 4 million tonnes of soils.

The site is safeguarded for minerals in the Local Plan, and Phase 1 restoration is being enhanced to deliver significant biodiversity net gain and establish a dedicated Habitat Bank. Looking ahead, subject to grid connections, the long-term vision includes a 10MW solar farm, reinforcing our commitment to renewable energy and sustainable land use.
